if i were you i would look into exhaust before you do any programmer...any programmer is gonna make your truck run hotter, and i would get a good set of gauges too

For the price and the functions it really hard to beat the Adrenaline. Before the Adrenaline that was the Edge Comp or Edge Juice with Attitude stacked with the Smarty Programmer. It really depends on what you want to do with your truck. If you want some added power, and a Code Reader then you want a Smarty. Let me know If I can help ya :c:

The Adrenaline also has built in Gauges which is a MUST

You will also want to look at an aftermarket fuel pump such as the FASS or Airdog.

X2

A good Turbo Back 4" Exhaust and an Air Intake helps your Cummins stay cooler. :U:

i have been playing with my fathers 99 ctd 24v for a while we added a k&n in the air box and 4" straight pipe which upped the fuel mileage a bit ,i was thinking of building a cold air intake for mine and building a 4" full straight pipe exhaust ,the reason i was looking into the adrenaline is for the gauges also ,i plan on doing a little towing (flat bed with a pair of jeeps to some local runs) but i mostly bought it for a parts go getter for my trucking company and a plow truck (gotta work better then my 95 f150 5.0l for plowing with nothing done to it)what about doubling up on the pickup pump ? i have been told that this also helped with power. i found this site thanks to diesel dogs so you have helped alot already Lukesdiesel

I really do not like the digital gauges, but everyone has their own opinion on the matter. We do sell a fair amount of the various boxes such as the Adrenalines, Edge Comps, Juices, ect and even the Smarty.

I have run tons of the combinations of boxes, but still prefer the Edge stuff for simplicity. I will say this, I have not run the Adrenaline yet for a direct comparison. Those that have, love it.

Exhaust upgrades are way over rated IMO and a simple muff delete will be fine until you start adding power.

I would upgrade the intake. Even if it's only a BHAF.

At some point, the factory fuel system is really going to hold you back as well.

And finally, that auto is NOT going to like the power of a wire tap box.

Here's the order I would attack it before thinking about added power.

Gauges

Fueling/ timing box run on the timing only.

Intake

Lift pump solution. We have some upgrades to the Raptor package for our customers. But, get some kind of fix in there!

Muff delete or full exhaust if you want the tone to change.

Tranny - Figure out how much power you are going to make and the use for the truck. Build to suit.

Turn up the fuel. Add air. Add FireBall injectors. Add more air. Repeat until broke or too fast for the track or have the toughest truck on the planet. :D

If your stock pump is still working you we can hook ya up with a Vulcan Big Line Kit that relocates your Carter pump on the fram rail. This will give your Carter pump a better life. Then you can save for a FASS or Airdog Pump. The Quad includes Digital Gauges. Boost, Pyro, Trans Temp, Fuel Pressure. For the price its the best bang for the buck. A muff delete pipe will help as far as sound goes but for really letting your truck breath then get a good 4" TB system.

Fuel pump

I'd get an airdog or a fass or something like that, the stock LPs SUCK.
I've battled them my last, nothing like going to 5psi all the time,if you drive your truck much it will piss you off.
Need some kinda fuel pressure gauge too.
