Help on disconnecting factory fuel suction line
 

I’m installing a FASS into my truck and following the instructions on how to remove the factory fuel line that goes onto the top of the fuel tank, to soon replace it with the new FASS supplied line. There are two tabs that you supposed to squeeze and then it allegedly pulls right out. Then simply replace that with the new fuel line. Try as I might, I cannot get this thing out. One of the tabs move, the other doesn’t move as much – I think it is hanging up, preventing it from removal. I don’t know, it may be damaged (I’m not the original owner). I’m considering possibly cutting the factory line and very carefully cutting the old line off the top of the fuel tank. Seems feasible. It is after all, only plastic. Has anyone ever been in this situation before? Thoughts…?

Get some WD-40 n spray it and let it sit for a minute get a small flat headed screw driver n work it open n also it u can get a air nozzle blow it out.

I had the same problem when I put my raptor on. It took me longer to get that fuel line off than it did to do the rest of the job. There is 2 of those little blue tabs you have to push in to get it off. The way I got mine off is I rotated the hose and used a pair of needle nose pliars to squeeze the tabs and the hose came right off. Good luck

AS stated above, they get stuck in there due to rust and corrosion. If you can get the debris out, you will have an easier time getting it off.

got it. WD 40 spray and brush. worked it back and forth. I absolutely did have to twist it to the side and then was able to pinch the clip and out it came, no problem that way. Thanks all for the help and patience. I am turn wrenches for fun / hobbyist, I'm no professional! My FASS 150 is now fully installed and she's running like a champ now.
