I'm a big fan of the sport light mod myself. Wish I would've done it sooner.

I'm still thinking about doing it, and running HID's in the Hi beams only.

My current truck has HIDs so bright I get flashed especially pulling a trailer. That's my biggest issue with them. They are awesome for getting idiots out of the left lane when you pull up behind them with a lifted truck.

If you will retrofit projectors in it will take care of that problem. One of these days I will do that with my HIDs, as of now they are pointed down low to keep that from happening. Because it drives me nuts getting flashed with no T&A involved lol.

so the people running hids like them or do they really just get annoying and im looking at the smoked ones on ebay anyone running them? and on the internet it says something about low beam only or high beam only im confused about which pair to buy and like i said i only drive the truck once a week or once a month

When it comes to HIDs they don't have a hi/low beam in the standard sense. When you switch for low beam to hi beam a magnet energizes and raises the bulb up on HIDs, the light output doesn't actually get brighter. Bi-xenon's are the ones which have the hi/low beam feature and those are the ones I run. I absolutely love mine I just have a bunch of light scatter which is why projectors are recommended. :c: My recommendation is to get a color temp of 4300K or as close to 5000K as possible these will give you a bright white light with little to no yellow or blue tint.

I personally dislike projectors, like the style, but not the light discharge. i LOVE my HIDs in the stock light housing. Brighter than ****! She's not lifted on 265s and I get flashed like crazy. Esspecially in winter, and they are a MUST for all those long dark months up here!
