Fass into stock fuel filter?
Question is can I run my fuel line coming from my FASS into the stock fuel filter than out of the filter to the IP? And second can I run my mechanical fuel pressure guage off the top of my filter with a tapped bolt?

I run my FASS into the stock fuel bowl just so I can use the fuel heater in the winter. I have a FASS 150hd with the filter and fuel water separator so I just removed the stock filter. If you get a tapped banjo bolt, you can put it at the bottom of the fuel bowl where the line goes to the VP44. That's what I did

So if i get the banjo replacement FASS sells it should work? And i dont need to run a filter in the stock case? If i run my fuel pressure guage off the filter case will it be accurate still?

I have my FASS HD150 feeding into my stock filter assembly, with the filter still in place. The extra filtration is peace of mind, and it isn't restricting flow, nor restricting pressure. I have a tapped Banjo bolt for my fuel pressure gauge in the inlet to the VP44. I believe having the sensor as close to the VP44 is the best.

RAWilliams is there anyway you could post me a picture of your setup?

Here is how it is plumbed into the fuel filter housing:

I'm running two pressure sensors, therefor the T fitting. http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3714/intothepump.jpg |
alright so your still using the stock line from the filter to the pump? isnt the line a different size in between the filter and IP than the line from the tank to the filter?
|
It might be, I haven't measured the inside of the tube between the Pump and Housing. It will look smaller for sure, as tubing has a thinner wall than hose.

If you're running it and havent had a problem than im not going to worry about it. Thanks and thanks again for the pictures, helped a lot.

No problem, hope it all goes well for you. :c:
