Todays arrival..... F1 springs... They will go to the motor shop tomorrow so they can finish the head:U:
Attachment 58061 Im going to Darryl's tomorrow night to drop off a 12V with a friend and Ill straighten him out :bat: :ouch: the big plan..... Darryl comes down to do the cam... once installed he can cut the O-rings for the head and I should have everything I need to put it back together.... Polished parts will be done on Monday 4/14, but then a couple pieces will go to be chromed..:rocking: SOOOoooo if all goes well it should be back together in a day or two once the cam is put in. My luck he will come before the head is finished and Ill have to chase him around for the head to be o-ringed:argh: then Ill come across some unforeseen issues and it will delay me even more:argh: Thats good you got the injectors!! You'll like them!! I hope you didnt have to pay any on the sticks... heck it was $30 bucks to ship em to you!!:ouch: |
yeah i had to pay 149$ for the injectors, smarty was in same country
|
holy crap! the heck is the fee for anyways??
|
well i dunno some ares txs, some custom fee(though we got trade free deal) some are for handling... depends sometimes it cost 10$ for 1000$ worth and sometimes its 100$ for 200$ worth....

It must not run that great since he hasnt posted a video of that yet. I mean its only got twins on it and a bunch of shiny parts and it sounds mean as hell, but Ian must not be impressed enough with it to post at least a nice burnout vid with all the new toys... :pca1: :w2: :humm: :poak: <---------- Peer pressure is a b!tch aint it!!!! |
hahah yeah ive been dirving it around, it has TONS of power for the bit that I have babied it. Ive got the comp UN-tapped and turned OFF and it still fuels pretty good!
I cant do any burnouts or wholeshots just yet, Ive got to do some re-torques :argh: |
IC,its really worth it in ur opinion??? did u do something special to make it work?
beside working the oil passage ??? and where did u got thoses fuel tubes? anything else to keep in check? |
All I can say is wow...

Attachment 57218 Attachment 57219 |
Wow man, dang.
|
one things for sure, when I have a bomb party to do my head, it will be on a weekend that you can come help cause you're getting to be an expert on the R&R of a 24V head!!!
|
haha nothing to them! set it, stud it, and re-assemble valve train then adjust the valves and put the rest back together... just that easy almost as easy as replacing a late model GM/chev motor.
hopefully Ill get lucky and have my dump truck running this week then Ill start on the green truck this weekend and have it running..... but if it wasnt for bad luck I woudlnt have any at all so I wont hold myself to having it running this weekend:argh::ouch: |
dang, i love all the broken parts in the bed:c: that head gasket really did let go huh
|
damn dude, how many times is that now?
|
hmm ian at least i got about 2 months out of mine. lol and if i had a cherry picker i would have had mine off already:argh:

$140 One of my better purchases :U: |
Not to bring back an old thread... but was just wondering.. if one was to either get the injector lines off of the 2005-2006 truck along with the head would they bolt right up to the 2nd gen pump and everything else, or will this cause some issues?? Or if one was to just get a set of new injector lines to take care of the line to injector issue... would this work, although I know it would be more money!! Also if I am not mistaken I believe I read that you do use the stock 2nd gen head gasket correct??

The 03-07 are common rail so the fuel lines wont work. Easiest way is to buy the crossover tubes and use your factory fuel lines. New fuel lines would be big money! Yes you do use a 2nd gen headgasket (marine 12V or stock 24) :U: |
I know you did all the work to your truck but why not just switch everything over to the CR block and head giguring the CR block is strong along with the Piston desighn is better.
