Super charger and turbo!!!

so i just found out that some people are putting a supercharger with a turbo on cummins. what kind of power can you make out of that if anyone knows

This is actually the first I've heard of this. Any links?

Think it's more for instant a continuous boost rather than overall power as it has limits ....

But yes a couple guys have done it on CF including Carl from crazy Carl's turbos should be vid on YouTube

I've seen a few of these. Peak power will pretty much be the same because peak boost doesnt go up. As someone already stated, its more usefull at idle/low rpm's when the turbo's not spooled up!

TURBOLVR (Crazy Carl) runs one with a whipple and an S366. He sells the kits.

The question is, does it work well on a 12 valve? if you get the whole kit, and bolt it on, do you need to adjust your pump? do you need injectors to match the set up? does it bring up the hp's or just peak power as soon as you get on the throttle?

I happy with my current build, would love to have something to wake it up on the bottom end but not really bring up the HP's as I'm already high enough on a stock rebuilt trans with upgrade TC. I would just like to have something to help her off the line and keep in TL while haulin's the trailer at lower speeds and up steep hills.

The good thing is the it will reduce smoke. I wouldn't mind that at all.

The way I understand it is it will give you a littler more peak power but mainly give you better low end and faster spool up.

The power is still ultimatly dependant on you turbo. The superchager shuts off (air diverted) when the turbo starts outflowing it.
