Im still working on my diesel knowledge and after reading through this entire thread...I have a question. Now Im sure its not a head scratcher for you guys, but what exactly is a "benched pump"? I mean I know what pump yall are talking about but im curious to the benched portion. Please be gentle

Benched as in its been on a flow bench and been calibrated to the maximum possible fuel flow. Usually at or near 500cc's
