500hp tow rig?

350 real horsepower will tow great and control heat. I tow heavy at 350 to 400 and the water temp will climb fast on a very long hill grossing 24,000. I don't think you can tow reliable at 500. My 01 24 valve has 327,000 miles on it.

No doesn't use oil and I don't think it has blow by...u don't need a fire ring gasket?? What pis can a cummins gasket hold?

In my opinion the stock head gasket in an original configuation should be good for up to 45psi.
Others may chime in with better figures, and with a towing rig I would stay on the low side of that.

I have been window shopping for a bigger turbo or a compound setup.

I wanna run compound. And run about 60psi would I need fire ring gaskets?? Or is there another gasket with out doing the machining to the head to put the fire rings in?

no, cummins gasket and O rings will work good. and yes the o rings need machiend in. and i think a 500hp 300k+ mile cummins will last a good while.....depending on how u drive it.

Ihave my days usually I only beat on it if I'm being challenged other then that pretty normal...is the o ring gasket same as fire ring??

o ring the head....and use a factory cummins head gasket.... not a fire ring head gasket.
