Looking for advice

Ive been reading this forum for awhile and finally decided to become a member.

I just sold my 99 24v with only 126,000 miles on it in hopes to make a reliable street/pull truck dont know if that possible yet but ive read on the site where some people have 500hp daily drivers. I got 12,000 out of the truck so looking to where i should invest it to where i get the biggest bang for my buck and i believe that a 12v is the way to go.

First question is about a turbo that i was going to use.

I have a hx40w 8 blade turbo will that be any better to use than the stock turbo?

Second

If i go with industrial injection bosch 300hp injectors, #100 fuel plate, slide my afc forward, and crank the star wheel, and grind the foot flat, use the hx40w, run a full 4" exhaust straight piped, and a bhaf. Of cours full set of gauges. Am i headed in the right direction is there anything you guys would do different? FIRE AWAY

Thanks

ps am i anywhere close to 500 horse if i were to use this set up

hx40 will be a hot 500hp. II injectors are over priced i would look at some sdx 5x14's there great, may wanna look into a different charger for that power level.

I agree ... SDX 5x12's are really good. Look into a different tubro as well.

I can't see your sig using the app for my phone, so I can't see what trans you have. If its an auto, look into a good freshening, shift kit and upgraded servos/struts. A good single disc convertor, or for peace of mind; a triple disc convertor. If its a manual; pull your flywheel get it resurfaced and look into southbend or valair. Everyone seems to have issues with one or the other; but those two are far more reputable than anyone else.

A hx40w 6 blade is good for 70lbs/min tops. Average diesel hp per lb is about 6hp to 1lb/min that's at the wheels. So if you get a 6blade say from bae turbo system you would be close to your goal. I'm building a h1e hybrid 7 blade right now, but I'll be happy with 380 at the wheels in my 12v 3rd gen 1500:)

in all honesty if you have an hx40 laying around you will make more power with it over your hx35.(is it a better charger? no not really its just a bit bigger) it for sure has its flaws and drawbacks but your price is right. x3 or 4 or what ever # i am on the injectors keep looking SDX's are great and much cheaper. get some gov springs while your workin on her to wake it up.
