I did not see where they had either a rental or buy & pricing ?

Dr. Evil 12-17-2007 11:13 AM

I have never seen anyone selling the jig and all the diesel sites Ive been on - but someone must be selling them.

OK here the info:

Harold Bowers has them. The deluxe jig kit is 69.95 which includes everything you need, jig and bushings[2], air regulator pressurizer, 2drill bits, t handle allen wrench, t handle racheting wrench, tap, set screws [10], detailed instructions. everything except the drill, the air compressor, and the fan hub wrench.

He also makes the basic jig which is going for 29.95. jig and bushings.

His phone number is 208 459-7849.
email is rvhvnfn@juno.com

That being said, I would say fix it right, pull the timing cover off and tab it. That way you can check and loctite all the bolts under there to make sure they dont come out.

Hope this helps.

I called harold about the drill jig he has stoped selling them.It is better to go ahead and pull the cover he told me there is also a bolt that likes to come lose so the gasket costs 28.00 and the crank seal is 28.00 you can make your own pin cover cheap.btw does anyone have the number off the crank seal the seal number not the cummins part number may have a way to get the seals cheaper.

I dont have the part number off my head but I'll get them in the morning! Just to make things easier use a air hammer to loosen the Fan Clutch nut... Its not a bad job at all! Just a little aggravating!

DBogo 12-22-2007 12:39 AM

i think it took me max 2 hours, not a bad job at all, and that was in my driveway, hardest part is getting that damn fan off without the right wrench other then that the job was cake
