Yeah their worth the money, can get ya an extra 10-15 lbs. of boost.

there only like 30 dollars, if you tighten the screw will you get more boost

You don't want to push more than about 32PSI with a stock turbo, and honestly that depends on the RPM you are turning at that boost level as well. You will start pushing the compressor out of its map, and rapidly decreasing efficiency. However, up to about 32psi at around 2500-2600rpm and you're still golden. I would definitely recommend a boost elbow to anyone with a stock charger and a mildly bombed truck. Or even a non adjustable elbow set to 32psi.

so if you tighten that screw will you push more boost? can you tighten it all the way down, or will that jack stuff up?

bowtech 05-20-2009 10:09 PM

you can it will give more boost but as they said after 32 you start to get negative affects with a stock turbo

801SANT 06-03-2010 12:37 AM

where exactly do you install the boost elbow at???

94 12valve 06-03-2010 05:53 AM

there should be a air line either from the afc or from the compressor housing going into the wastegate.

You can tap the turbo inlet, screw the boost elbow in. Attach it to the WG. Cap off the afc line. Done.

Just get a needle valve from napa its part number 6820 only $8 and it will do the same exact thing except it can be turned by hand :tu:
