put govener springs in now truck shuts off

the truck ran great but when its warm and you are in gear at a stop lite the idle gets lower and lower untill it stuts off un less I two foot it then i can maintain the idle at 700rpm any ideas sould I tighten the springs up a little bit more?

Did u put the nut on the springs back in the same exact spot as they came out the first time. What does it idle at in netrual and in gear

Sound like the springs are too tight

It idles at a 1000rpm in park so i dont think its as siple as the idle

1000 to me seems to be too high just idleing. it should be around 700 i think according to the tag on the side of the motor. mine went from like 375 or 400 to 500 after i put my 4k gsk in. and thats was everything back in the same way it came out.

1000 seems fine at idle. Should be 750-800 in drive with the A/C on (assuming it's an auto).

Sounds like your springs are a hair tight.
