6.7 turbo on a 94 12v

would a he351ve turbo work on a 12 valve? if so would it be hard to hook up?

yep they can work with a manual type controller, mine is controlled by springs and let the drive pressure open the vanes, i will be swapping to a wastegate setup soon to see if i like it better. look on youtube lots of vids and links on how to do this! the foot can also be modified to work with the t3 flange because the 351ve has a t4i flange that isn't a t3 or a t4 kinda its own thing

how much boost can you get form your set up?

turbostang7 03-10-2011 10:24 PM

i have seen as high as 38psi with mine, but i keep it down to about 30 driving around. i can get 5-6psi cruising at 1750rpm's, and by 1900 i already have 11-12psi full boost at around 2300. cleans up the 150s pretty well but if i crank the adrenaline up it will be pretty dirty and hot lol

would i be able to spool it with the mods i have?

turbostang7 03-10-2011 10:36 PM

the exhaust housing on the he351ve goes all the way down to i think 3cm for the exhaust brake, with a little tuning you could make a stock truck spool these turbos :tu: the mods you have it will do just fine and not be too hot for you! they only have a 60mm compressor wheel which is only 2mm bigger than the hx35. but flow a ton more air. thats what you realy want. and as for boost pressure it will only go as high as your fueling will alow so its not going to give it too much air, can't realy do that. i would say if you are mechanicly inclined its a good cheaper alternative for a turbo. i am probably going to be selling my setup here soon i may be switching to a he451ve, its a little bigger than the 351

did you convert the electronics to the spring set up by yourself? or can you buy some thing for that?
