Not Blowing Smoke
 

:hellox: I just installed my 7x9 injectors and fuel (in addition to the other mods in my sig) and the truck runs awesome! and has plenty of balls but doesn't blow any smoke at all.

It might shoot a puff out if I stomp on it when all warmed up but other than that nothing... ?

What does this mean? Is my truck just extremely efficient? :c:

7 hole injectors will probably be alot cleaner than 5 hole. my 5x12's are 90 horse also, n they only smoke if i lug it. get above 1500 rpms n they clean up real quick. if u can make good power with little smoke, ur doin pretty good. but u might wanna throw a new fuel filter on it just in case :tu:

So im assuming since in your sig it says 90 horse and 5x.012 are 90's they are supposed to be the same just swapping hole designs up? Im still catching up on this 7 hole stuff. Stock charger on the truck?

yes. stock charger and wastegate tuned to open at 32 psi ::humm:

what is your fuel pressure what are you seeing on your pyro at wide open throttle

my fuel pressure gauge is under hood and it reads anywhere from 25 - 30 at idle

my exhaust temp ranges from 1100 to 1200 when wide open :humm:

i did the same mods at the same time. the 7 holes came from sdx. they should be around 100hp. they flow between a 5x12 and a 5x14. they didnt smoke before the mods but these were the first fueling mods done

if thats all thats done to the truck it probably wont smoke much unless you labor the engine

regardless of load there is no smoke and it feels like it boggs down at low rpms if the tc is locked up

I HAVE A 95 AUTO TURNED UP AND WILL NOT SMOKE GOING DOWN THE ROAD

i got some 7 hole injectors for my truck too... they are a bit extreme in size but i wont go back to a 5 hole for on the street again....

RUSS - turned up as in what? where at is waverly? if you are willing to drive to salem i can help ya out on tuning..

7x.009s are smaller injectors but they will be efficient... thats the goal these days.. to make less smoke and more power

Heard that these new SDX injectors have a break-in period.

Sure enough, my baby's blowing a decent brief cloud out now for the first 2 seconds if I floor it... I'm satisfied enough... :yeah:

good to know my truck is using almost 100% of the fuel I give her too!:c:

yah, I'm waiting on my 7x11's Then I'll chime in on how they are in comparisons to my lil 5x10 stockers

im gettion 5x14's in two lol

keep us posted on those injectors boys. im in the market and ive been reading lots of good stuff on the 7 holes but idk ive had my heart set on 5x14s for a while now
