40lbs of boost

with my wastgate blocked off i was getting right at 40lbs of boost i ran like this for awhile but it kinda hit me that my headgasket may not last much longer so i took it off. with my fuel pate came a boost elbow i dont think its the kind u can adjust. if i put this on would it push that much boost?

no prolly not.................anything over 32 psi is so superheated its killin yer egt's anyway

x2 set it right around 30-35. above that is just hot air
my egts are alot cooler n more controllable with the dtech at 40psi than my stocker pushin 50.

yeah stock im getting like 28 max boost so im gunna install the elbow n see how it works for me i would feel much better about having an elbow vs. a clamp! haha

Alot of that has to do with the increased CFM of a larger turbo compared to a stocker. Your pushing more air with the 62 over a stocker all through the range of the turbo

Yea i would back it down a bit and go with 32-35 like these guys said.

JUST WONDERING IS IT NORMAL TO RUN 12 POUNDS OF BOOST AT 1800RPM AND AT 60

Ya that's about right where mine is at 60 also

You can adjust a non-adjustable boost elbow by drilling it out some. Just go in small steps till you get it 30-35#. :c:
