Smoke screw?
 

i have a 97 cummins and i was woundering what the smoke screw is i heard it from some guys around here didn't know:humm:

how do you do the timming on those

the smoke screw or (pre boost screw). it up fuel before ur turbo fully ignites. as far as i know till like 5psi or something. someone please correct me if im wrong. if tuned right with your star wheel can give you quite a bit more power and make your truck run better. again if im wrong please someone correct me as i am just going off some things i have learned since getting into the cummins world with my first truck. i have been around them for a while just bought my first one in nov 09' though. so still learning alot and something new everytime i log in here. thx and good luck :jump:
