injectors and manual conversion
im loocking for advice on what kind of injectors to run and what size and also wanting to do a manual swap in my truck would like to do a nv5600 but herd they are hard to get parts for if u break it
before u do injectors, u need gauges. a set of 5x.014 would be the biggest id go.
going off your sig, it looks like u need a set of 60#valve spring also. what r u wanting to know about the nv5600 swap? |
sdx injectors no doubt. best bet would get a donor truck for the swap or it can turn into a quick headache. u can get 5x14's or 5x12's with different dv's.
i have never understood th 5x14's and all them sizes is that like a 150hp injector or what and what is dv i dont know much about injectors and getting a donor truck was what i was thinking and does anyone know the top speed u can get out of a nv4500 im leaning towards making a street truck so going to need top in
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- one other thing what is the point of a boost elbow and what does it do |
there is all sorts of injectors 5 holes 6 holes 7 holes 8 holes etc.
5x10 which comes stock in a 98 manual 5x12 90hp 5x13 not sure but thats a 370 injector 5x14 140 hp 5x16 not rated but i think its a 200 hp 5x18 240 hp 5x20 dont do it lol 6 holes are 24 valve and none for 12 valve if im thinkin rite and 7 holes are for 12 valve secondly on the nv4500 goin fast its all about the gear ratio of your truck is the big thing. motor work will just get u there faster lol on the boost elbow im no pro on it but it has a screw that u adjust which restricts airflow |
ok thanks for all the help
no prob is that all u need? and it dont restrict air flow it actually controls ur wastegate my bad
yeah creates MORE boost which can blow up a stock turbo :/
ha ha dont go over 35 psi
yeah already did that had my stock turbo running 45 psi at lasted like 6 months but got ats 3000 and 5000 for twins just have not put it on yet need trans and injectors
