Heavy, heavy towing mods help needed

I had posted this in the RV section about 10 days ago and haven't had any responses. The problem that I have is my impatience. :dang:

I just finished tabbing my KDP on the RV and have ordered three gauges (EGT, Tranny, Boost) from one of our sponsors, Thoroughbred Diesel. I have also ordered the DDP 75 injectors, Aurora 3000 Turbo, #10 plate, and a Fluidampr from them. This is part of my post in the RV section

I have a 1997 Fleetwood Discovery with the 5.9 Cummins 12 valve. I purchased this motor home new in the Summer of 1996. It has only 34,000 miles and kept inside. I have used either Amsoil or Royal Purple for the life of the coach and Fleetguard filters plus the Transynd for the Allison. Oil analysis has always shown pristine readings and the fuel mileage is hard to believe it is so good.

Here is my issue. It simply does not have the power to pull my race car trailer. My total rig weight is 32,720 lbs and I realize it is far over the rating for the RV. I have reinforced the Class V hitch mounting area and use a MaxBrake with plenty of braking for the trailer.

I am fairly experienced in bombing the 24 valve Cummins and towing heavy with it. I am not experienced in bombing the 12 valve, but this is what I am looking for as far as improvements. I would like to pick up about 75 hp and 150 ft lbs torque or something in that range. It is currently rated at 239/605. It is a Allison 3060 which should be plenty of transmission for what I am doing.

I am hoping that the injector/turbo/fuel plate combo that I have chosen will add at least 75 hp/150 ft lbs to my RV without EGT issues. I am also hoping the turbo that I have chosen won't have any issues with my exhaust brake that I have on the RV. Can you tell that I am a proponent of ready, fire, aim!

The only thing that I know I have gotten right is the Fluidampr which I will install now as I am buttoning up from the KDP fix. I also have a Plan B, Plan C, and a Plan D. I can back down on the injectors and/or Aurora 2000 (or another suggested turbo) on my RV if these turn out to be too big. And use the bigger stuff on the 1998 12 valve that I have in my shop floor to put in my 2004 F350 next year. I am basically flowing from my RV to the truck if needed since the truck combo is lighter and I think this will help spool the turbo a little quicker.

Please fire away with any thoughts, comments, suggestions before I delve too deep in the mods on the RV. Thanks in advance!

Well some 90HP - 140HP injectors would not hurt and give ya alittle more bang tune your AFC to give ya some more power at low boost (that = smoke so be careful if you dont want smoke) for only a 75hp gain you can dam near get that out of free mods AFC, plate, ect get a boost elbow and you can bump that up a bit do you have gauges?

Thanks for the response. I know I had written a lot, but I did say that I ordered gauges in the second paragraph. I need an EGT baseline with the stock set up and see what I do to it with my mods.

I want as little smoke as possible. My race car trailer is white and I don't want one side of it black if you know what I mean. I know most of the acronyms, but what is AFC?

I figured it out. The star wheel.

Afc is aeronoid fuel control. It has to deal with more than the starwheel. Fuel screw. Starwheel, spring, diaphragm. Check out the stickys for afc tuning and mods. Also injectors afc and fuel plate. Add a 62/65/12 and it will have plenty of power. It will have a quick spool up with low end power. Since your not Gunna be completely hot rodding it around. The tight housing will be good
