Washer mod
How does one do the washer mod? what size washer for the pump?
|
How familiar are you with your p-pump?
Nothing in life is free - if you do this wrong you may have to buy yourself a new pump (which happened to someone here). Spend the $80-100 and get a 3k gsk. |
well right now im in a bind... im just wanting to get my truck in running order, its been sitting for 2 weeks already... My other post "Governor spring help" explains the problem dr. evil.

Ok, I see what you are talking about now.
Have you called the place you bought it? I would think a machine shop should be able to fix that for you but you will likely need to find a small, one man operation kind of shop that is willing to do small jobs. Even then it might be cheaper and better to suck it up and buy another set of springs. |
I haven't called yet, im going to tomorrow, I just wanted to get my truck running. I have been in contact with a few machine shops here already and they will do small jobs. I was actually going to have one make me an adapter for my pump so I can time it. Do you know what the thread size and pitch is for the delivery valve holder?

Sorry, I dont know that off the top of my head. But someone else may.
|
thats okay, thank you tho. Do you find it odd i didnt have any other shims in my truck?
|
Dnt buy a washer just flip them side to side. Also call up where u got ur gsk and tell them u need a new seat next day air. I wouldn't mess around with cuttin the new seat and I doubt a machine shop would mess with it either...
