95 CTD track bar

i have heard there is a better way to fix this than installing a stock part I have put many of these into this truck over the last 400k and am looking for a better fix if anyone knows of something better please let me know:argh:

Is the truck lifted at all? Thuren Fabrications trackbar will be the last one you will ever install Thuren Fabrication - 0-3" lift track bar

streetrod 11-02-2010 10:20 PM

no the truck is not lifted

All Out Diesel 11-02-2010 10:24 PM

The Thuren Track bar I listed is the ticket then.

streetrod 11-02-2010 10:31 PM

so lookingb at this track bar it says that bolth ends are replaceiable how often do ypou need to replace them and what are the costs for the replacement parts

All Out Diesel 11-02-2010 10:40 PM

I have never had to replace the ends on mine with 280k on it still good as new, I can check on the cost of the end rebuild kits in the AM for you.

dipapadakis 12-10-2010 10:46 PM

for the price of all those kinds you can replace the stock one like 3 times...

92 BUCKBOARD 12-21-2010 10:23 AM

source automotive has a good product. I just put one on my truck. Like it. steers kinda like a ferrari now.

the thuren track bars are junk ran one for a couple months and hated it go with a dt profab there 400 bucks with bracket, chromoly tubbing lifetime warrantee and there based off the 3rd gen track bar with no ball joint much better choice

cummins95 12-24-2010 03:40 PM

x2 on the dt profab. i just put one on my truck n i love it

94cummins12v 12-24-2010 03:50 PM

dt profabs are the best for the money great customer service and quality replaced my stock one 3 times and finaly bit the bullet on dt profab mine was on a 3" lifted truck and alot of offroading. there fully adjustable were the thurens are not and the thurens use the crapy ball joint concept

Pyro690 12-25-2010 01:14 AM

Get away from the ball joint idea if you want one to last. The ball joint will fail before a rubber bushing type. :c:

I put a Luke's Link on mine years ago and know problems since plus it is rebuildable. Only cost about 70 bucks if i remember right.

bigdaddydodge 12-27-2010 07:29 PM

i'm lazy. any links?:hellox::w2:

94cummins12v 12-28-2010 11:06 AM

i would google dt profab if it were me

1AMatt 12-30-2010 11:09 AM

So I just checked out the Dt profab track bar and it looks like a pretty great trac bar. I definatley don't like the ball joint type trac bars. I would much rather have rubber bushings on both ends. Without a doubt upgrading to one of these kits soon! :c:
