2600 rpm free rev in park?

lodal cummins 09-12-2010 01:24 AM

yes if you tighten them it should turn alot better for you. springs should be set at .045 to .050, make sure you measure them and set both sides, or sets the same.:jump:

do you have valve springs?

monster12valve 09-12-2010 09:16 AM

yes i have 60lb valve springs. i set them back to factory tightness. i counted the turns of the nut and matched it back with the new springs. havent tried to free rev it in park or neutral... i no i did it right.. but what happens if one is a click tighter? also my idle stayed the exact same. i thought it would need adjusting? thanks for the help guys:rocking:

Try three clicks after the first soft click. If you watch, you can see and hear when it clicks. Also, be sure that you got ALL of the washers out before installing the new springs.

yea i got the washers out... there was 2 on each spring set. i will give them another couple clicks 2maro. also for anybody thinking about doing there own gsk install....DO IT!! i was nervous at first but it is super easy! so glad i saved the 170$ the shop wanted to install the vs and gsk. Thanks again guys for the help.. i really appreciate it alot !:c:
