Safe Boost #'s
Ok i know every situtation is different and every truck is differnt. Now for the question, what is a safe number for a head gasket with bolts. My truck has 284,000 miles on it and im thinking of investing in a good turbo and junking the ole h1c.

Depends on how much airflow you're going to have among other things. If you have seen that everything plays a role then you should have a good number to run with.
Stock head gasket and head bolts I wouldn't play with much more than 40 psi, some people say you can run more but, even at 40 psi your playing with fire and its not a matter of if, but when your head gasket will take a crap on ya.

I would say 35 ... anything more than that on a stock charger is pointless anyway
I know 35 is max with a stock charger, but his question was with an aftermarket one what could he push with stock head bolts and gasket.
missed that part ... I still think you should keep it arround 35. but like you already said every truck is different
around here we put allen bolts in one at a time. i run close to 60 lb. with stock gasket
i have always been told up tp 40psi with stock head gasket and bolts. i am sure people have got more out of it but that is just the safe number. X2 on stock charger being a waste over 35lbs.
A 35 turns into a grenade at 50 couple pounds. It sounds weird when chunks fly out the exhaust.
Yea i know the stock charger is pointless past 32-35 lbs. I was just kinda thinking of jumping up to a little larger charger so i can do just a little more tuning but... with everytwist it puts more strain on another part! lol
