valve springs
my dad just picked up a 98 12v, the guy we got it from didnt know his ass from a hole in the ground. said it has injectors and DVs in it, but didnt know the size. it seems like it has 3k or 4k gsk in it.
what im wonderin, is there anyway to figure out if it has the stock valve springs or 60lb valve springs. |
99 eh :)
fixed it. guess im so used to putting 99 12v with mine, fingers typed it instead of whta my mind was thinking lol
Ha that's what I was guessin... Just rev her to 4k and she if it holds together :D should know pretty quick what you have in there...
its still on its first motor, i would like to keep it that way :scare2:
pull the first valve spring out and you will have to measure the hight of it. The 60lbs springs are taller than the stockers by over an inch. I'll measure my stockers tommorrow for ya.

installed height should be the same, since the valve cant come up any higher than it already is lol i didnt know if they were a lil thicker or anything :humm:
It is a heavier spring, i saw a pic of them side by side yesterday. I'll have to look for it again.
