Custom Fuel Lines

im looking to make my own fuel injector lines, can anyone point me where to get the lines,id prefer stainless steel.

also they have flex lines but i dont think that they would hold to the fuel pressure, ive got the stuff to bend my own lines.

im looking for like .98 or .120 over lines. but i dont know what the stock size is.

Stock size is .075. Bending your own fuel lines is gonna be a big job, all the lines must be the same length.

And why do you want such a big line? there is no advantage of going that big with a stock 12mm ppump

ive got a set of stock length fuel lines i can use as a guide for length, also i didnt know they all had to be the same length i figured the last three were longer then the first three.

im eventually going to run a fass pump.

i may not run the bigger lines imediatly.

Flexible lines can be made to easily handle the pressure of up to 60,000psi. I work with 15k and 30k flexible stainless lines every day. It will cost though.

Spirstar, Oceaneering, JDR, etc.

only problem i would have with flex lines is it would be really close to the motor so id be afraid it might melt

There all the same length thats why there bent like they are.

I was talking about your ppump, there is no need for bigger lines with a stock 12mm pump. your truck will actually run better with the stock lines than it will with the bigger lines.

They won't melt.:argh:

Stainless fuel lines tend to crack I would stay with mild steel if you do make some

Stainless could crack, depending on the wall thickness and how well it's supported. The stainless and incolnel I use is thick wall for the most part, even the thinner 10kpsi swedgeloc stuff doesn't crack with the vibrations if supported well enough. The only reason to use stainless on your truck is for the bling though. Regular mild steel can take whatever you are going to do with a 12v. If I were going to do my truck, I would have to check on the ID needed, but I'd use SS or incolnel just because I can get it cheap and easy. Unless you're not paying for it, it's probably a better choice to go mild steel like suggested above.

IF you do this go mild. like mentioned stainless has been known to crack. like also mentioned, you dont need larger fuel lines for a stock 12mm pump. even a maxed out pump could work with stock lines. if you are going to go with larger lines you might want to think about how large the hole is through the DV holder.
