I don't think so, it will depend a lot on the pump set up.

Hold tight man.

Should have a few sets rolling in next week. Also keep an eye out for a pre order list later this week or Monday.

SDX stage II's which are like 90 hp I think will work fine w/ stock turbo

zach_west 04-08-2010 06:09 PM

i'm still waiting for info from SDX:w2:

biged681985 04-08-2010 10:06 PM

what info are you waiting on?

zach_west 04-09-2010 12:31 AM

I was just wondering what size would be the best for my pickup. I have 60 horse injectors but they all pop tested low and are dribbling so i'm going to be needing new ones. but i'm bout to run a twin set up and need the injectors to support it. i have my pump tuned so bigger injectors won't hurt anything. But i was confused by the 5x14 or 5x16 i'm not really sure what that means. i was hoping i could get some help with that

biged681985 04-09-2010 12:38 AM

a 5x.014 and 5x.016 are injector sizes. the 5 is how many holes, the .104 or .016 are the size of the holes :tu:

a 5x.014 are supposed to be around a 140 hp injector, depending on how it is set up hope this helps. :tu:

also, im running there 5x.014 with the stock hx 35 and they are way to hot for that with a 0 plate. 5x.014 fuel enough to spool a set of twins, as long as there not a real big set. the questionis, what will be is what u plan on doing with it.

zach_west 04-09-2010 12:41 AM

i'm not going to go to crazy with it i just want it to be faster than it is now. but since i have to replace injectors i figure i might as well go a lil bigger now instead of regretting it later. and my twins probably won't be too big. i've got 100 plate in mine now with the stock hx35.

biged681985 04-09-2010 12:50 AM

if ur not wanting to race or go crazy, id say go with the 5x.014 injectors.

zach_west 04-09-2010 12:55 AM

i'll probably be racing but i'll be pulling alot 2. and my loads are usually pretty heavy so i think that'd prob be the best then?

12valvetater 04-09-2010 10:29 AM

For a hot street truck I think there is no better coice than a 5x.014

biged681985 04-09-2010 10:37 AM

ya, since u will be pulling a heavier load, the 5x.014 with the set of twins should be a decent combo :rocking:

zach_west 04-10-2010 08:14 AM

i guess i'll start saving my money and get them. thank you for the info:tu:

biged681985 04-10-2010 11:55 PM

no man

Neibe 04-11-2010 09:01 AM

How many horse is the SDX 1? How many miles are stock injectors good for?

dan33klein 04-11-2010 10:31 AM

@zach west, keep in mind that the 5x.014s may be a little hot while towing. imo
just keep in mind and choose your exhaust housings carefully for your twins, and make sure you do a little tuning on your pump once you install out of this, ive found out the hard way when towing with big injectors and alot of fuel that its easy to get them egts threw the roof before you even get them turbos lighting. but its kind of easier with a stick cause you can control fuel with your foot. thats just my .02 cents

sounds like you need some more afc tuning

dan33klein 04-11-2010 10:46 AM

yeah i have my afc tuned now, im just giving him a heads up that before hes tows and that, he will also want to tune his, so that does not happen to him

zach_west 04-11-2010 12:51 PM

mine's already tuned for big injectors. my egts are skyrocketing now due to the leaky injectors though. i pulled the other day and i only ran bout 1200 which is better than i thought it would. but i think my guage is messed up it says 200 all the time whether or not i have power going to it or not.
