98 12 valve fule plate in or out
I have a 98 12 valve and i want to take out the fule plate. What are the pros & cons?:humm:
|
pros: power, looking awesome, smoke, noise
cons: looking like a douche, smoke, noise, getting pulled over |
pros:power, smoke.
cons: frying your clutch or tranny, unless your easy on it or have an aftermarket one |
pros: closer to full rack travel, more fuel,
cons:egts more smoke.. i personally dont like it that well i did it in mine and i think im going to go back to a 0 plate. |
i like mine the best with out fuel plate or afc.... thats tuning on demand:tttt:
but lots of smoke and poor fuel milage, and no tranny |
you get pulled over for smoke?
how would you look like a douche???? noise????? WTF |
a o plate and no plate are the same.
pros: would be a big increase in power. i went from 150hp to 280 hp by changing from a stock plate in stock position to a 0 plate. no other pro realy imo cons: excess smoke, high egts, easy to fry a stock clutch/torque converter, and decrease in fuel mileage, unless ya keep your foot out of it |
Unless you have the means to push that much fuel, running plateless could potentially hurt you. Having a rack stop in the right place could be more beneficial then having full rack travel where you are basically overfueling and putting the fire out.
With a 0 plate slid a little forward from stock, I'm making 22 more hp than I was with out the plate. |
i have run a 100plate ff and no plate and it seems the same on the butt dyno to me.
|
you aint guna notice a difference between 100 ff and no plate
