Default Upgrade Questions

Well Im still thinking wether or not to convert to a manual, but I was wondering if what I should to next to my truck. I was looking at a bigger turbo and intercooler. I am wanting around 400-500 hp if possible. Its a daily driver still and i dont really want a butt load of smoke. Thank you guys

How is your trans? Other than that I'd say a 62/65-12 and you'll be there with tuning.

I had the transmission rebuilt last summer, and a buddy told me to bump up the timing to 17 or so degrees. Where could I get that turbo?

Was it rebuilt stock or with better parts? I'm not super up on my autos but I know they need valve bodies better bands clutches planetary and input shafts to handle any amount of thrashing. I would contact engineered diesel about their turbos.

It was rebuilt with better parts, I dont remember everything on it. But would a turbo and intercooler help? I have injectors and going to mess with my afc when I get home

The intercooler will help some but until you start flowing more air than a 64 wheel the stock will suffice. The biggest gain you will see with and upgraded intercooler would be egt reduction.

with a billit tc and vb you could do 400hp depends how you treat it 500 idk it would be about the same price to get a full built trani by the time you buy the parts and labore for the swap
