Road Ranger - 10 speed

I found a Eaton Fuller Road Ranger 10-speed transmission with FRO-11210C.
2-inch input shaft. 1760 output yoke. What else would i need to do for my truck to put this on? Just curious. Thank you, Andrew

Way way way too much.

What do you mean way too much?

What bellhousing does it have? I have an industrial 5.9 that I'm putting in my truck and it has a massive Eaton 6 speed behind it. The bell housing adaptor might be what you need, and I don't know about the input shaft yet. When I break it apart here in a couple weeks I can let you know if it would work to couple your trans. As for driveline, you are going to need a divorced transfer case if you are running four wheel drive and likely a special jackshaft or coupler between the tranny and t-case. If you use a divorced NP205, you likely won't need much more except shorten the rear shaft and lengthen the front.

ok that would be awesome, and i will look at it more. also would a 92 transmission work in mine?

Transfer case would drop on the wrong side, and you'd need at adapter bellhousing or '89-'93 backing plate to work with the Getrag bellhousing. You'll also need to find a pedal and clutch hydro setup to put in your truck.

Now that I think about it, I agree with tater...you're gonna need a lot

I hope that you are a very good mechanic or at least know one that is a semi trans not for pickups. You though that your trans cost a lot to get worked on that is a lot more costly but any thing can be done go for it have fun.

use an NP200 or a T-136 air shift for a t-case....

country_boy 02-08-2010 07:03 PM

i work on semis for a living and those trannys are massave compaired to the ones in our pickups. another thing you will need is constant onboard air. they shift via air pressure and if ur air pressure is too low or drops too low it wont go into gear

There are many things to consider. I saw an old school with a 10spd and there was boku custom parts on board.

blkjack 02-08-2010 10:59 PM

That would be and awesome project. Dont know what it would take to make it happen though but would be fun. I seen a vid on youtube a k30 chevy club cab like a late 80's model with a cummins swap and a 10spd behind it so It can be done but what it would take IDk. Good luck and would be a very interesting thread to follow on here if you do go for it. :tu:
