94 ram cummins short bed conversion...help
 

hELLO there!!!! Im looking for some help on the long bed to short bed conversion ,
any info to a link?, pics? etc?...will be very much appreciated...i used to have some picx from some other forum but my puter went nuts, so i cant' find them any more....:s:

What info exactly are you looking for?

I am pretty sure he's looking for what it would take to make a lb into a sb prob like frame cutting and axle location ect. I was pondering this awhile back dont have one to do it on but was wondering what it would take if one wanted to do so.

well what cab do you have an extended or reg? if you have either it is pretty much the same. You have to cut down the frame to the correct link and drill some holes to get the bed bolts to line up.

I think this is approximately all you have to do. You obviously shouldnt cut out between the leaf springs. So cut in front of the springs and just dont cut any lines and you should just have extra wire left. just ziptie that up and to me it sounds like your done.

but I dont really know for sure. just my .02 and someone will be in here to lead you the right way

Truck is a regular cab, long bed, what i need is some picx, i remember having at least 2 or 3 difrent links of this been done, some of them where top notch jobs, iam sure there is a link to some other forum that has all of the info, i know a few changes needs to be done, like cutting drive shaft, shortening line brakes, etc...cut needs to be done right were the cab end in a z form, also you need to put some kind of a pach above the weldind etc....tonight iam goinf to surf the web and try to find all those link to the info, like 50 picx of how to do it step by step......thank you so much for your help, :c:
