p7100 fuel pump ?
i have a 1996 cummins...i've heard a lot of talk about turning the star wheel to dump more fuel into the injectors...my question is...where is this star fuel located? can someone please point it out for me?

It's under the Allen head plug on top of the AFC. Check out the AFC Tuning article floating around here; it's an awesome pdf put together by a member that gives step by step instructions to tuning the AFC, with pictures and everything!!! :rocking:

Dosnt really give you more fuel, just more fuel at lower rpm's so it smokes a little more, but does not add more additional fuel.
|
fuel plate will do the same thing and its a little easier.....
|
It does not do the same thing.
|
loosening the star wheel adds fuel at a quicker rate as boost increases, dosen't add more in a total aspect but it adds more than stock in the lower RPM when boost is applied.
BTW it is under the screw with the allen hole in it. it is an 8mm allen wrench to remove it. get a quality allen wrench because it might be really tight. no need of breaking a cheap one.... |
idk if he wants a quick fix for power, fuel plate is just an answer, in my eyes it seems like they both give it a little more pep, but w.e.

A fuel plate will give you more fuel, turning the star wheel just changes the amount of fuel is delivered with the amount of boost, but will not add more fuel out of the pump.
