What turbo do you have?

joey 01-14-2010 10:26 PM

I have a stock turbo with banks turbo back with the big head waste gate i bought it a long time ago. I want to upgrade to a 62/65/13 or 12 havent decided yet with 80 horse injectors. Should i advance the timming.

Absolutely! And I would shoot more for 19* running 80hp injectors.

Anything over18* i would at least run head studs.

16.5-17 is good for the street. The higher you go the less bottom end power you will have.

looks like setting the timing on a 2nd gen is a real pain in the rump... is there no easier way?

12vcummins96 01-16-2010 11:15 PM

nope

Once you do it a few times it's not hard at all.
