check the wire to the probe in the exhaust mine did the same thing when it came loose

Have you checked the connection where the temp probe and the wire harness come together . I think they are a red wire and yellow wire, usuall held together by a little bolt and nut?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Sorry 94 12valve ya beat me to it  |
i haven't checked yet,when i get off work i will.

Also make sure you have it grounded good - bare metal not painted.
|
it's only been doin it lately

I understand, maybe you hit a bump just right and made it come loose, a wire is rubbed on something, or the comection is laying on the valve cover and or exhaust manifold. Lots of factors can play a role in something intermittent ( spelling?) Just check everything over real good.

Thats funny you say this, mine just did that the other day, the ground wire came loose and it was going nuts. I snugged it up and has been fine ever since. I love easy fixes:w2:

my ground wire was not in the best spot and it bounced around then quit one day its the ground

if you check all wires and its still the gauge, contact autometer. they got my old gauge and sent me a new one within 10 days.
