Going Half Fenders... No Bed!
Well I am looking to order some Stainless half fenders for my '97 and removing the bed. I like the look and will add a fuel tank and side boxes for tools & misc. This is my commercial truck that pulls my '07 40' Gooseneck Hot Shot'n around Texas and New Mexico. I like going west.
Just wanted to throw that out there - some may not like it - some will. I like the look myself. No sleeper - it attracts DOT when your berthing in the cab. I did sleep on the trailer bed one time in the parking lot of the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, CO. Yea - sometimes your just that tired... I will post photos of my "AFTERMARKET" fenders once the bed is off. P.S. it is damaged so thats another good reason. |
will work good as long as ya have a trailer on for weight

I've kinda wanted to "Rat Rod" the paint a bit but put a really nice graphic logo across the Body either "Puller Express" (like Polar Express) or "Texas Express" slashed across the Front Fender, Doors and extended cab portion with a horizontally stretched Foose like rendition of the Truck and Trailer Rolling Smoke along the kick panel portion against the backdrop of a rusty ole' paint job... (sealed of course). The inside is impeccable so it won't be a true "Rat Rod" but I'm cool with that. Hours on the road call for some level of comfort. Thanks for the response... it really was different than I expected. I will do this and I WILL photo the progress - I may pull the bed this week. I am going to deck the frame for a fuel tank and box... |
good thing them springs are getting put to use.
how bout the coorslight express threw the front |
