Have a look here......
http://www.timbren.com/aeon-rubber-springs.htm When using AEON Hollow Rubber Springs as a supplement to conventional leaf springs, coil springs, torsion bars or air springs, the empty ride is not affected. The AOEN Spring is gradually brought into operation according to the load being applied and progressively increases in proportion to the load being carried. Initial take-up is very smooth and the spring rate increase is progressive, resulting in a greatly improved ride, improved load handling, greater load stability and longer spring life. |
has anyone here used them?
|
wow those are cool. I wonder what they cost?

I havent used them myself....couple reasons:
I figure if you are having issues with your truck bottoming out then you have some serious suspension issues that I personally dont feel will be helped by rubber blocks. My 06 Mega is a perfect example. I hated the ride in the front, it swayed and bobbed like a 70's muscle car with bad shocks. In the field it bottomed out constantly. I installed a KORE levelling kit and the improvement was out of this world. Same thing for the rear....To me if you are maxing out you load capacity, to me the best way is to add leafs to your pack, this is very common here for guys that are welders and such... Now....I have heard from users that are using them, and every one of them swear they are the greastest thing since Kraft Dinner....I am not positive, but I think Duluth Diesel (member) is using them. I am opposed to the CONCEPT only...The users have rated them very highly....They are much cheaper than any kind of suspension upgrade as well. |
I just called the dealer in Binghamton and they directly bolt in where the stock bumpstops are.
the ones for my 04 CTD were $189.85. thats not to bad |
the only problem with add a leafs is that it stiffens an already really stiff suspension which is painful to drive empty.

That price doesnt sound too bad though.... |
ok I see that point.
These might be going on my truck. With a full load of firewoodmy truck dips down quite a bit. these would be awesome to make it sit level and improve ride. |
Let us know if ya do it. Would be great to have some more information to post from a user.....
Thanks |
