12valve Turbo Whistle 'r installed...

3 Attachment(s)
Here is what I fabbed up for the 12 Valve:c:... It's not as loud of a whistle as my 3rd Gen Auto - but it is louder and the Exhaust Whistles at idle now... THAT I like!:yeah:

It is a 3rd Gen OEM Rubber Elbow to a 4.5" to 4" Sewer PVC Coupling (Not the sch40 stuff...)

Then to a 90° Elbow (Sewer PVC...)

PVC = $20

Then to an AMSOIL 4510 Air Filter...

I need to fab up a good shield and maybe pull cool air through the Firewall like a Blue tube. Any ideas, links, or photos would be greatly appreciated.

Here soon I want to shift the Air to the front and move the Battery back... This is a secondary truck not driven much now but to have fun. I will be Hot Shoting again this year with it so I will certainly need the coolest Air I can pull.

Very nice...I would use a different filter myself, but nice work.

What's the downside of the Amsoil?

CFM or Filtration?

Oooh! I get to change my Signature tonight... Installed the 4k GSK after installing the Home grind 100... Woo Hoo:choochoo:

No such filter exists - AFE has the Proguard 7 which is a excellent filter but it does require oil.

AFE also has the Prodry S - which is a washable, non oiled filter. I can dig up the p/n is someone is interested. AEM also makes the dryflow as well as the huge AEM Workhorse filter.

I dont know enough about the Amsoil filters to talk about them. Is this a washable filter?

No downside to the amsoil filter as far as I'm concerned. Yeah you might not have as much CFM as an AFE but the amsoil Ea has better filtration. I run the same filter with a Ea Pre-filter EAPF20. The 4510 is also a cleanable filter. Nothing wrong with your filter :U:

Looks good. to bad you could not put it in front of the turbo so you would not be pulling all that hot air.

When you are driving down the road, the air flows from front to back and down the firewall. So even a filter on the front gets a good hot breeze from the rad. Radiant heat from the exhaust just makes the filter and piping a little warm, the air flow doesn't get much heat.

That being said, I still like my ScottyII for pulling from the cowl and side vent and totally enclosed.
