Good choice of mods/parts? For what purpose?
I'm considering buying a 98 dodge 2500 with these engine mods..
Arp main studs
Arp rod bolts
Hamilton 210 210 cam
Billet push tubes
Hamilton big valves
Full port and polish with stock intake shelf
60lb over valve springs
O-ringed head
Billet retainers and holders
Arp head studs
Ats t6 manifold
S366 borg Warner
4inch exhaust (new)
180 p pump
Modded fuel plate
191 delivery valves
Rack plug
Stock injectors
Fass 260 with draw straw
Stage 2 ats trans
Ats triple disc converter
sunex billet input shaft
Flex-a-lite fans and shroud
Allot of this is Greek to me because I owned a 5 speed VE.
Owner said he towed with it (no gauges) and it was "a bit laggy going up steep hills."
He wouldn't really give me a straight answer, so I'm asking here..
What was he after when building this engine? And did he go about it in a sensible way in your opinion?
I'm not looking for a hot rod.. I'm looking for a slightly tweeked 12v 5 speed running 3.54's getting 20 mpg +. But my buddy keeps reminding me to take this one more seriously because it's a fresh rebuild, and the farm truck patina I'm ok with..
Thanks!

Would the addition of other mods compliment what he has done? Can I fix his mistakes?

there is some serious money on this build sheet its just all goofy. a box 366 comes with a .91 t4 housing. that turbo is also very inexpensive. so to mate that to a t6 you need an adapter. a t6 manifold is pretty darn rare and expensive. so instant red flag toes to what was this truck used for before he tried to sell it. no one streets anything with a t6 foot. stock injectors with a 366 will be nearly impossible to drive, period. a fass 260 is a very expensive fuel pump. and way way more than your build sheet indicates you need. the injection pump is nearly stock. the engine has lots of ARP hardware which screams its been beaten on.

Turns out its a EEP 210/210 cam. He said its a older, new cam.. Same blanks Hamilton uses?
This is surprising because this guy works in the machine shop at enterprise diesel.
