Trying to Build 650HP -2 many opinions -Already have lots of aftermarket -Need advise

I know that I may need to change some items that I have installed. Just try to give an honest opinion. I think some of these things I have installed are not what I need and will bite the bullet.

This is what I have on the truck already (1/26/2013)

Fully built Auto Tranny (local performance shop)
Triple Disc Low Stall torque converter
FASS pump 220 gph 45 psi
BD 3-piece exhaust manifold
66/80 Industrial Injection silver bullet turbo
+90 HP injectors
4" exhaust
K&N air intake
Industrial Injection DragonFly P-pump (12mm)
-Rack Cap
-Laser Cut Del. Valves
- Plate #6
-4k GSK
- AFC-01 Spring Kit
-Pump currently at 18º

I purchased 150# valve springs from Industrial Injection, just havent put them on yet.

Gauges - Pyro, Boost, Fuel Pressure

Boost is reading 40 at WOT. EGT's reading 1500º-1600º at WOT. Fuel pressure is a constant 39-40psi

TRUCK IS LAGGING ON INITIAL WOT FOR 5-10 SECONDS

With this exact set-up I ran 416hp on the dyno
Pretty sure if I keep it this way it needs tuned/timed correctly

I feel that I have been pulled in so many different directions by others so I figured it couldnt hurt to ask for more opinions.

Pretty sure I need to get head studs, a different turbo (66/80 that I currently have doesnt boost until im between 1700 and 2200 rpms), larger injectors, some sort of motor work, etc....

What are your suggestions to get there motor wise as well as any other aftermarket parts/upgrades? If you suggest a part, can you be specific on specs and manufacturer?

This does not tow anything. At times a daily driver, but mostly a toy.

TRUCK IS LAGGING ON INITIAL WOT FOR 5-10 SECONDS You're running a Silver Bullet on a P-pump 5.9 for goodness sake; you're going to have substantial lag. Plus, your injectors are WAY too small. If you are dead set on keeping this turbo, you need bigger injectors and proper AFC tuning. Also a cam will help spoolup.

With this exact set-up I ran 416hp on the dyno 90hp (I'm assuming 5x.012) injectors are NOT going to get you close to 650hp. You need at least 5x.016's or 5x.018's IMO

My comments in red. If you are dead set on keeping the 66/80, you could make it work with bigger injectors, better DV's, and a cam. The cam is crucial to spoolup. A set of compounds would be more friendly though. You should already have had studs and o-rings put in.

I'm ordering 5x.016's this next week as well as head studs and gaskets. Getting heads port and polished. Might as well do o-rings too. Also, putting in the calve springs. This will all be done within 3 weeks then tuning and timing. Anything else you would recommend while I'm in there?

Long story short, asked for high stall TC got low stall was trying to "make it work". Might change if I can't get the results I'm looking for. Going to try to keep the turbo.

What DV's do you recommend? I got the Dragon Fly b/c the mechanic doing my lift pump over torqued the supply fitting to the stock pump. Cracked the pump casing. These LC DV's came with it.

What can would you recommend?

anything other than full cuts. i run .024's and like them. however you are gonna be running a MUCH bigger injector than me so your set-up will be totally different. you will probably have to try many fuel plates and many DV's before you find what you are looking for.

For a cam I would go with a 188/220; it should help immensely with spoolup. For most applications it should be a drop in cam, but you still need to check clearances.

For DV's, .024's are a good option. I think your best route would be to talk to Weston (username Smokem on CompD), from what I hear, he's pretty good with DV's. Tell him your plans and he should be able to set you up.
