towing a goose neck with megacab
my cuestion if for pple who tow a goose with there megacab. i have an opertunity to het a mega cab dully for a really good prise bit i gota make sire im not going to habe clearence issues wen making tight turns. i know ill b ok pulling the flat deck but when it comes to a horse trailer or enclosed trailer that ill b able to get 90degrees with the trailer like i can wit my 05 4dir longbed dually. ill b pulling the blue ox goose neck hitch assembly out of my truck and put it in the megacab. that hitch positions the ball almost directly over the axel.

i pull with my shortbed crew cab. and i get just as much turning room as any longbed. dont place the ball directly over the rear axle. put it just in front of it. i also have a rather large toolbox in my bed and i dont ever have problems. i understand one would think it would alot diff when pulling with a crew to a mega but there's really not much space wise diff. a short bed is a shortbed.

you would be fine i tow with both of mine and i know guys that pull campers with short bed trucks using B&W balls and they dont have any problems

i had to get a auto slider for my mega to pull my camper.

Slider is the way to go for the megas.....

i tow my gooseneck with a regular ball but when i hook to the camper i use a pullrite auto slider. i have too. they are noway it will turn without it. the pullrite automatic slider is a very good hitch. :tu:

Here is some stuff I found when I was lookin for a hitch for my truck.
Gooseneck Hitch Extension | B & W Trailer Hitches 4" Extender - Turnoverball That should solve your problem.:jump: |
I have pulled both a 5er and a Gneck with my short bed. No problems but they make different overhangs with 5ers, and some will contact the cab.
