03 cummins wont start hot or on hot days
Hi Everyone
Im having a problem with my 03 dodge it has 98000 miles on it. It starts fine when the motor is cold and below 80 outside if its hot or above 80 the truck just cranks forever.
I have had it in a diesel shop for 3 weeks they cant find anything wrong with it it does set the fan clutch code but it turns on and off fine. They thought it was the lift pump at first and changed it to the intank pump that didnt help. Next was the fuel actuitor on the cp3 pump nope not that either all test on injectors while on the motor was on spec and rail pressue while cranking and running was fine. i think its the injectors but not sure i did check the crossover tubes and they where about a quater turn from there torqe settings.
so before i pull the injectors was wondering if anyone had any ideas beside the injectors
i have had a bully dog programmer on it before and thats why i think injectors went out early. One more thing doesnt smoke when it does start.
Thanks
