What types of engine oil are you running my work has chevron 15-40 which i could get for nothing but dont want to mess anything up by putting the wrong oil in any ideas for what to look for on the drum label.

If it's diesel oil, then you're good to go. In the 03 you can run the old CI-4+ oil or the newer CJ-4. If it's free, that hard to pass up:)

Find a good source for inexpensive, quality filters, and you've seriously reduced plausible excuses to delay routine oil changes.:humm: And with mineral oil, you'll probably wanna go with short o.c. intervals, like 3-5k. IMO:c:

Delo 15w40 is good stuff and nothing is the magic price...personally get a descent filter (baldwin, fleetguard, donaldson etc) and run it for 7500 miles. Any CJ or CI-4 oil will work fine in a CTD, other than soot they are pretty easy on oil (compared to a 6.0 PSD or something like that).

By the by where are you in RI?
