cold air only on drivers side
i have a 2004.5 dodge cummings and i have really cold air only on the drivers side i didnt know if anybody has had this probly or if there is a easy waqy to fix it for now i heard it was the blend door or the blend door motor need some help
Try putting a good charge on the system, worked for me?
i heard of that but i wouldnt think i would be getting any cold out at all i have air comming out but its warm but all the vents work fine as far as switching from the floor to defrost
I would pull the controls out of the dash and back sure the temp selector is working for the passenger side assuming you have dual controls. If it is I would be leaning towards the passenger side blend door.
thanks guys i dont have duel controles as far as the passenger and drivers side i thought if it was the blend door the rest of the controles wouldnt work right defrost and everything works fine
ur system is low on charge take it to an a/c shop n.have it chatged mine did the same thing had it charged n blows cold on both sides again
ditto... I had the same problem. Took it to a mechanic friend and he charged the system and now it works great.

i do about three a day at dealer try charge first its cheaper and if you arent leaking you wont waste any freon and when they get low they blow cold driver side, warm passenger. but ive pulled many dashes especially for recirc door breaking and its very possible that a blend door broke, its normally the clip that connects the motor to the door breaks an ear, motor over travels then bust out of door. it will make noise but wont actually turn door. good news is i can pull dash in about 30 mins so its not horrible if you have to
