how would i fix that

Replace the bad injectors.I'm not a cummins guy but there should be a sticky at the top of your year specific truck with codes

Strokin' Away

but the code goes away then comes back maybe 400 miles later

It goes away by itself or after you clear it? If it comes bak after you clear it then it's telling you there's an issue. Someone will chime in with more knowledge then I on cummins motors.

Had the same problem on my b injector circuit. Replaced the valve cover gasket and life is good.

dcummins4me 05-06-2012 06:40 PM

so u think it could be a gasket??

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

can that also make the truvk lag and hold back fuel??

Oh my hope you don't try and fix your truck with the information in this thread. Its either a failed solenoid possibly caused by high return, a damaged harness, or a failing ecm.
You'll need to complete the injection system pinpoint test and check injector resistance and then harness resistance.
It will put you on the right direction.
