Default 06 bad injector and accelerating on its own

I've got an 06 auto with 150k miles. Has a miss. Scanner says number 6 injector is bad. Odd thing is, once you get it past 1200 rpms and let off the gas it stays there and will shift through the gears all the way to 50 plus mph with foot off the gas. If you stop it tries to take off. Put it in neutral and it revs for a second then returns to normal idle. Ideas?

Park the truck and replace the injector ASAP. Otherwise your looking at it sticking open and scoring a cylinder, along with a crankcase full of oil.

I am getting the injector replaced today but I didn't know a bad injector would cause it to do the other stuff

What it was doing was over fueling that cylinder. BTW, meant to say crankcase full of fuel.

Crankcase on automotive applications should usually only have one or two gallons of oil. A crankcase FULL of oil ends bad.
