Hey I would say that H&S Performance Tuners offer great features for your 06 Dodge 5.9L. The H&S tuner has power levels of 60hp, 120hp, and 200hp increases. Choose from the XRT Pro, Mini Maxx with or without Pyrometer or the Black Maxx with or without Pyrometer tuners.

Let me know if I can help you out.

I dnt kno much bout h&s really iv only been doin my homework on the new smarty ssr and the efi live just hopin someone has already tried them both out

I will be trading in my s-06 for efi soon. Download the software off of efi's site. If it is too complicated or don't have the time to tune it, then have someone do it for you.

cfdavis 02-09-2012 08:23 AM

Where's a good site to but the efi live from?

K80 02-09-2012 10:59 AM

I've been checking out starlite diesel, but there are probably sponsors on here that have it and tune that may chime in.

cummin_un_glued 02-09-2012 08:25 PM

We sell all things EFI and we also tune, i can hook you up with your own V2 or if you dont want to do your own tuning i can set you up an autocal with preloaded tunes and you can allways update tunes via email using it. Another great thing about EFI is that your not stuck with 3 or 4 tunes you can write as many tunes and flash the truck as many times as you want to so your tuning can evolve with your future upgrades. I have tried the SSR on some 03-05 trucks and i DO NOT like it at all it is way to hard to tune with. In face there is a thred on compd that is over 3000 posts long about guys trying to tune with SSR's. If you want you can call me and we can talk about the EFI options/prices in more depth.

i just came back from meeting marco with smarty. he is coming out with his version of tuning the smarty. :hellox:

cummin_un_glued 02-09-2012 08:40 PM

did marco actually have anything to show you on the U.D.C. Tony? Their is a big thred about it on comp d but very little to no responses from marco or bob about it.

cfdavis 02-10-2012 01:42 PM

Ya how I get a hold of u so we can talk bout it more seems like alot to learn , but havnt read any complaints bout the efilive

davis i tried to text you today after i got your voicemail, did i get the number wrong?

diesel pap 02-11-2012 10:25 PM

marco give me a flash drive to practice with. he showed me on his computer his normal tune and how easy it was too go on each side of that. many things you can change. it looks easy because your base line is always there. i havnt look much at it yet. :tu:

i downloaded the demo off the site, it is fairly simple that is true, but my biggest issue with it is it all works off of calc load...i dont tune off of load...i try to think of everything in a mechanical way, so i relate the efi tables to the different aspects of a mechanical pump, except for duration/pulsewidth and rail pressure since those cant be easily changed in a mechanical pump.

so lets take a look at one of the "limiters" that he's talking about that is in the "base" tune that cant be changed, unless it can in the "pro" version of the UDC

Attachment 39063

in this table you have fuel delivered based off of rpm and manifold pressure, so basicly this is your AFC if it was a mechanical pump. from what i've seen that they do to this table i would compair it to taking the AFC foot out and taking the fuel plate out.....kinda hard to "tune" a 12v when its missin those 2 parts isnt it

thats just one table but the other relative tables or "limiters" are all done the same way, just pretty much maxed out

dont get me wrong here and i didnt mean to get on a soap box, the UDC will be a great improvment for the current smarty users no doubt at all, but efi lets you decide what tables are relivant to your needs and gives the end user more options :c:
