Death wobble on my cummins

hey guys my 07 cummins is shaking real bad after hitting a big bump or any pot hole i did some research and it could be a couple different thing such as steering box, steering stablizer or trac bar bushing among other things, i have no clue.. any ideas what it would be? and feedback would be much appreciated. thank you

I have the exact problem in my truck, i got new tires which made it much better but it will still wobble a little going over a bump, but it use to wobble so bad it looked like my truck was bending and i had to slow down to about 20 just for it to stop

Bad trac bar bushings will cause a death wobble big time, Id start there. A steering stabilizer will contribute to it but usually not the main cause.

Steering Stabilzer Bar - 1032005 - 03-07 Dodge 5.9L

A steering stabalizer is what solved the DW on my pop's old truck. After replacing ball joints and tires. Also a nice upgrade. There are lots of them out there not just this one^^. Shop around.

Ball joints.

I had death wobble problems with my 2003, my mechanic said that the problem appeared to be that everything in the front end was showing wear. I had dynatrac ball joints, new track bar bushings, BD diesel steering box stabilizer, and a new steering stabilizer installed. Not only did all this cure the death wobble problems but the truck steers and handles better than ever now.

This ^^^^^^. I figured as long as we were making a list I'd throw in ball joints. :hellox:

if you have spacers on the front wheel and tire. it causes bad death wobble. found that out the hard way:argh: but its ok. 20's fixed that problem.

The steering box stabilizer makes a huge difference in how the trucks steering feels! Its a great upgrade :tu:
