Head Studs QUESTION?

Ok
I am plaining on getting head studs and i have been told 2 diff things.
I want to get the arp stud kit for my 2004.5 cummins.

My question is.

Do i remove the head and have it machined and a new head gasket?

Or do i do them one at a time? And leave the head in place.

I have 55 k on the truck?

Just thought I would ask I am sure there are alot of you guys running them.:pca1:
