Hey I have an 05 cummins 24 valve, its shifting weird 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th, I dropped the pan and changed the fluid but there was no chage, the pan was clean there were no metal shavings or anythin, any suggestions would be great

It feels like it slips out of gear, the rpm's go up but I don't go anywhere, weather I'm easy on it or put it to the floor, if I back off of the accelerator it will shift, like I said the pan was clean

WHELP, get it taken care of now is all I can say! I let mine ride too long (like that), and now it wont engage in any gear whatso ever.:ouch: I haven't had the heart to drain the tranpan and pull it off to see what all I managed booger up. I was not prepared to do a rebuild this early yet....:s:

What are the chances that it could be something electronic, I bet I couldn't get that lucky though

from all ive read tightening bands is not that difficult. But it could be something electrical, you may want to pull your connections and clean them properly.

Yeah I've heard that it could be the bands or a solenoid in the valve body
