2005 CTD Owners Look Here

OK I have heard from numerous people that own 2005 Dodge CTDs and they are complaining of poor fuel mileage. like 11-13 MPG. that is frigin ridiculous. Now I have to believe that there is something wrong with their vehicles but I own a 04.5 and thought that they were the same with some minor changes.

does any other 05 owners experience this? is there a fix? Stock my truck got 16-18. Hell I just towed a 2K trailer with a CJ7 on it up hill all the way and got 14.5-15MPG.

mine varies... i think the best i got was 20 mpg on the highway, but i had the smarty on sw5. on average i see 15-16 mpg. my overhead is about 3 mpg off... so whatever it reads i usually subtract 3 from it. works, cause hand calculated its no more than 3 mpg off, so i just subtract 3- could be less. but i did experience crappy mileage when i first got the truck... modded it alittle, got a reflash and it gradually got better... its starting to suck alittle now, but its back to stock tune.

I get somewhere about 18 at 75MPH and 22 at 55MPH with a couple of minor mods but it was relatively the same at the bone

If I remember correctly, when I first got my 05, I was getting around 16.
After it broke in, I started seeing 17-20.
This is doing under 2000 rpm on the road.
