Just a newbie

Hello all. Just wanted some input. I have an early 04 cummins has afe intake and 5in exhast with edge juice with attitude (the old version) and thats all the mods i know of. Was wondering if there are any tell tell signs if you have a goerend transmission. bought truck from used dealer and he thought it has one. i am not thinking so seems to be slow to take off like a stock truck would but when in town cruising it does seem to run around the rpm range that goerend says there trans runs so not sure. it also feels like in the last few weeks that when the converter locks up it is alot less firm. i do have a heavy foot, its been parked without driving for 2 weeks, and the air temp has been in the 100 range since ive been in it again. any help with this and any other things with this particular truck would be appreciated. i an new to diesel trucks and thankfull for any help

its been too long since i bought the truck and cant reach old owner. didnt know if they marked the trans or kept serial numbers on the trans they rebuild

bought truck jan of this year and not ever noticed these problems as bad as they have been. didnt know if outside air temp and fluid temp would cause some of this and if a trans service (filter and fluid not flush) would possibly cure or if i needed to save my pennies and talk to dave with goerend
