will a 2.5" kit take care of that minor rubbing?. im picking up a kit 2marrow. $50 off o C.List
|
No, the problem is the width of the tire and the offset of the wheel. It rubs when turned to full lock. I could have a 10" lift kit and it would do the same thing because the problem isn't with height, it's how close the tire is to the control arms. It's really not a big deal... :rocking:

i almost cant resist,... i dig em.... what do u guys think?

well. its been awhile since ive posted. since last time i got myself a bully dog triple dog prog. i like it. now i found some chip foose wheels and 35" bfgs that im pickin up tomarrow. than finally putting on the 2.5" level kit. i debated for awhile wether to go a 6" lift or go with this level kit i got really cheap. $40. i figured since im already getting about 23 mpg, i didnt want to ;ose that with 37" tires. so for now its only 35"s.
wondering if i can still use my stock shocks????? thanks. ill post pics wen done:jump: |

well.... the foose wheels fell thro, i drove an hour to get them and the guy told me the center of wheel is too small to fit over dodge hubs. but i did find some other wheels for a hell of alot less $$. the price of one, i got all four. score for me but they do have some pitting in the chrome. with the saving im gonna get them powder coated black, which is what i wanted in first place, so all worked out. im really thinking of getting a 5" lift.

|
they did a nice job on those wheels
|
thanks man, they did do a nice job. now just need some 35" tires.
|
firestone destinations. I love mine, and for 20" rims i picked mine up for $1018, not sure on the size of the rims you got. but i'm running 275/60/R20's. But look into those or the Mastercraft Courser A/T 2's.
|
thanks man, the mastercrafts seem pretty nice, they got a pretty nice m/t too.
|
Yea I ran the courser m/t on my 04 tacoma I had, they did really nice in the snow, only problem I had with them was that they cup real bad if you don't rotate them like I did:argh: and then they vibrate your truck apart.
|
ah. thanks for the heads up. im looking at a 4.5" lift off a craigslist and ill prolly save some change and splurge on toyo m/ts.
im running an 18" wheel. thanks man |

alright!, i finally got some tires, nothing too fancy, i got some hankooks 35x12.50x18.
so i started putting on the level kit, i decided to do it the hard way without a spring compressor. it took some manuel prying of the coil but i got it done. got everything back together when i realized the lug nuts i got with the wheels were a differant thread and my current lug nuts wont work with the new rims. so now im stuck with my truck up on jack stands till tomarrow when i get new lug nuts. |
Turbo psi issue
Hi I have a 98 Mack with a e7-460 I had the exhaust manifold gasket replaced cuz it was leaking, in the time of replacing the gasket the turbo was bad and replaced with the same model A350 or a035 not sure but def a Warner , and now the problem is I used to get 38 psi very quick and didn't matter what gear I started in it would hit 38psi at 1450 rpm now I get 33 to 34 , but when I shift the turbo does shoot right up to 34. It goes with the rpm and once it hits 1500 it shoots up to max , but sometimes the new turbo will go up to 38 psi very seldom like one or twice a day most stays at 34 and it don't pull like it did and I can't find out what the deal is I checked for leaks replaced hot and cold turbo hoses no leaks now .and still the same No 38 psi I hate this I know what my Mack runs like at 38 keeps up with the internationals we have with the 500 hp in them I gotta get this psi back plz help. sorry for being all over the place here.
Any question plz E:scare2:mail me Sgtmajwrench@ymail.com :scare2::scare2::scare2: |

Any question plz E:scare2:mail me Sgtmajwrench@ymail.com :scare2::scare2::scare2: But with that aside, this is the 03-07 CR Cummins forum, this is not the forum for such questions and it is also kinda rude to Hijack someone elses thread with a problem of your own, everyone can make their own thread and ask their questions, I suggest posting up a thread describing your issue in the general diesel related forum where someone can help you further. But I don't want you to think I'm being an ass, those are not my intentions, just saying you will get better results in the correct forum. Just trying to help you out. :c: |
Thanks bro sorry for intruding

still plan on a 4.5" lift later. but the level kit dosnt look bad. i like it.
|
look good! :tu:
|
thanks man. the tires dont look that! stuffed in there either. i was worried bout that. i like how it turned out, the ride is alittle better with the bigger tires and no rubing at all. i still have to adjust my speedo. i dont think its off much tho. :tu:

#SuperLateResponse ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- been a long time since posted in here. updates- got a bully dog PMT awhile ago and a sound system. now have some motor problems. got a good amount of blow by and white smoke coming out my exhaust. runs perfect. starts perfect. but the glow plug light shuts off rather quickly. my coolant is the same level. I'm assuming the white smoke is injectors. hoping my rings aren't too far gone. |
